Nope! A referral is not needed to receive treatment at Hälsa. You can call and schedule your care as soon as you’d like. If you'd like us to send your provider our evaluation notes, please let us know.

No need to worry! Being on your cycle will not impact your care, in fact this can help us to see the ebbs and flows of your symptoms by treating you during each phase of the cycle. We can always modify our session based on your comfort level.

This location is a shared space with other healthcare businesses, so there will not be a separate place for children to sit or play outside of the treatment room. We ask patients to bring in whatever they may need for their kiddos to make the session flow as seamless as possible. In essence, the answer is yes! If childcare feels like a barrier, we also offer telehealth sessions as needed.

Every body is unique, so the number of visits varies depending on your goals, symptoms, and how your body responds to treatment. After your initial evaluation, we'll create a personalized care plan that will work on meeting your goals. Some patients find relief in just a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support over a longer period of time. We'll always work with you to make sure your care feels manageable, effective, and aligned with your pelvic floor wellness goals.

Your first appointment is all about getting to know you. We'll start with a detailed conversation about your health history based on your intake form, current symptoms, and overall goals. We will talk about the pelvic floor as a system and its intricacies, which will lead us to the assessment piece of the session. With your ongoing consent, we may do a physical assessment which can include posture, breathing, movement patterns, and a pelvic floor external/internal assessment - always to your comfort level. Based on our findings, we will map out the healing trajectory and you will leave with a crystal clear understanding of what's going on in your body and an individualized plan to help you feel more connected, supported, and empowered on your pelvic floor journey.
